juniper meadows  – jacaranda twilight –  deserted village – cdr - 8$

Jacaranda twilight is a pastoral instrumental duo of Brad "Foxy" Rose and Chris Skillern. It's a bright, uncluttered recording and an entirely acoustic affair and they manage to play a dozen instruments between them over seven tracks.

murmansk  – s/t –  deserted village – cdr -  10$
Finally another Murmansk album, once again too inscrutable for a title. Recorded in early 2004,
this marks the move towards increasingly alien, electronic territory.
The most harsh and austere Murmansk release yet.

anahita  – arcana en cantos –  deserted village – cdr -8$ sold out

This is the first release from the duo of Tara Burke(Fursaxa) and Cellist Helena Espvall-Santorleri. It's three tracks will sound familiar to Fursaxa fans but the cello and extra female vocals provide more undertows to the slow whirl..........
The art is a luscious painting by Helena's husband Paul.

united bible studies  – the shore that fears the sea –  deserted village – cd -  12$ sold out

Long-awaited (by us at least) studio album from UBS. This album is comprised of crafted songs and soundscapes with little emphasis on improvisation. It's like a hybrid of The Solar Observatory and Huntly Town 3".

Antony Milton  –the end of this short road –  deserted village – cd -  8$ sold out

I recorded it in 2000 a few months before I started the PseudoArcana label, and given that my initial idea for
P.A. was for it to focus on harsher and more abstract musics the simple melodic folk songiness of 'Short Road' resulted in it sitting on the shelf for much longer than it perhaps should have.
There was a great poet who said of his work that all he had ever done was write the same poem again and again, trying to get it right. I've sometimes felt that I only have the one song inside me, and I've approached that song from a hundred radically different angles and have ultimately become convinced that this song can never in fact be realised in any definitive way.

agitated radio pilot  – the hills and days grown old –  deserted village – cdr -  8$ sold out

In the far from distant present....I am happy to say that THE DAYS AND HILLS GROWN OLD should be available from the Village shoppe right about now or next week. I am immeasurably proud of this one and it represents a much more haunted incarnation of the Pilot. The exception to this is the massive central track which we played and recorded whilst supporting Sunroof! some time back. I think there were about 11 of us on the Lazybird stage that night....Man, the white lights were shining . Let it be known that Matthew Bower and Michael Flower are gentlemen of the highest degree and brought out the best in our ragged ensemble. I have since become obsessed with everything Bower related and I recommend you check out some of the Sunroof! cds...or indeed anything by Skullflower or The Hototogisu....Wrap yer retinas in gauze and fill yer ears with honey
