tomentosa is done in addition to working a full time job & family.
Recently my family has required more of my attention so
I will be slower to respond to emails that don’t relate to existing orders.

ORDERING CHANGES AS OF 8.15.14

Due to limited time on my end and to make things flow easier Ive made the following changes:

All orders ship out on Saturday; except after an update
(If multiple orders are placed within the week they will be combined and any extra shipping paid refunded)

There are no holds, preorders, trades etc.

The only way to order is through the site and it’s shopping cart

Unless the site’s shopping cart is broken I dont take orders through email

If you dont see it on the site I dont have it

how do i find out when tomentosa has a sale or adds new stock?

we have a mailing list, email to be added to that
and we have a twitter – @ttosa

twitter = sales & specials & random posts about my dayjob

you’ve added new items to the site and didnt send out an email or twitter?

yeah sometimes that happens. bit of a thank you to those who make a point of visiting the site regularly

is everything on the site in stock?

everything on the site should be available

Can I buy two copies of an item?

No, due to the limited nature of our stock, only one copy of any item.
Email if you’re combining orders with a friend to save on shipping.

is every item listed by artist & label

no, sometimes it pays to dig around a bit.

what does it mean when an item says used?

used means the item is secondhand, most used items are in great shape
if there is any wear or damage it will be noted in the description

do i need to enter my phone # in the order form?

the order form does ask for your phone #, but at this time we do not need it for shipping purpose
please feel free to enter zeros etc.

i emailed you a few days and havent heard back?

for any questions with paid orders i will email you as soon as possible
for any other email it usually takes me a few days if not longer
always feel free to email again

you used to have releases on a certain label and now i dont see them?

right now we’re reworking the site and will be relisting stock as we have time
that being said some releases wont be relisted as we are refocusing to work with smaller labels. Also check our discogs page for old stock that isn’t on the site and other cheap deals

how quickly do items ship out?

we go to the post 2 to 3 times a week so orders can ship anywheres from the next day to a few days out

what if im unhappy with my order?

please email us and we’re glad to work with any concerns you have

what if i change my mind and dont want an item i ordered?

no problem email us and we’ll refund you for that item minus $1 for restocking fees

what if my order gets damaged in the mail?

the post can be rough we understand that so we have no problem working with you to sort this out.
we have been shipping vinyl in the mail for over 10 years so we know how to pack an order in way that best balances
shipping cost & durability of the package so it arrives safely to you

will you remove the lp from the outer sleeve?

yes if the lp is unsealed we always do this, if the lp is sealed we don’t.

will you double box my order?

gladly, but since this makes shipping cost more and takes more time and more materials
we will need a small additional fee

its been a while and my order hasn’t arrived and i didnt get an email about it shipping?

please email us at any time and we’ll be glad to tell you the status of your order

do you do preorders?

no what is on the site is all that’s available

do you do holds/reserves?

no unfortunately we do not do holds or reserves at this time.

i dont have paypal. can i pay with a  money order etc ?

yes always feel free to email and we can figure out what works for both of us.

can i visit your shop if im in asheville, nc?

i don’t have a shop but email if you’re going to be in the area

if i’m a label how do i get my releases in your shop?

just send us an email
preference is given to smaller labels with little or no distribution elsewhere

tomentosa is a one man operation I do everything; no stockers, pickers, packers, etc
I am as quick as I can be in responding and shipping orders. I will work thru any issues or concerns with you.
Know that my priority is with paid orders and other inquiries it may take a while for me to respond.
Also sometimes im behind or sick or busy elsewhere so please have patience as it makes the whole situation more amiable
