after being delayed multiple times along with mr mcguire’s "between family", this release finally sees the light. songs about confusing confusion being confusing. the ensemble moves forward with a malachite grid for the room to change all the bad stuff happening in the basement. nobody is being honest and so maybe the obsidian should be handled with much more care (i.e. put it away) than previously anticipated. no, not new age bullshit - im talking about the little pieces of information which we are handed to use as tools. thats not the point anyhow and besides that, the red frosting is a mystery and its a bad thing anyway, nobody wants to dwell on the bad stuff.

recorded at the same time and in the same place as "language barrier", these songs reflect the other side of the experience of the individuals journey. each disc contains an hour of relaxed moments and stretched out thoughts. the cover is a postcard of a cathedral that was down the street from where we were living, that we would see almost everyday. there is true inspiration in the architecture, and a lot of energy gained by being in such a beautiful part of the world. this is me channeling that energy into my guitar, or at least trying to!

a silent and intersteallar screeching halt. VERY, VERY sparse, quiet and minimal electronics. dual moog pieces submerged 100,001 leagues under a space ocean usually recorded between 2 and 6 a.m. "surface scan...." sounds like a busted toll booth ticket machine. jeffs moog sounds like a hotel housekeeper vacuuming a floor 4 floor above your head (i am serious, this is vacuum cleaner electronics.) you will also hear minimal morse code machine communications and underwater atari noises on "moon phases", a live track taken from a recent live duo performance in cleveland, ohio. edition of 100 copies on silver discs w/full color art + b&w numbered inserts.
